Events in Pittsburgh, San Diego, Jersey City, and Monsey have created a new paradigm and culture for our community. Safety and security have become the number one concern for engagement and participation in Jewish life. In northern New Jersey, we have over 100 Jewish institutions serving 125,000 Jewish residents. Unfortunately, anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise in our community also. As a community, we must work together with law enforcement and elected officials to keep our community safe.

“We cannot choose the time or place of the next incident, but we can choose our level of preparedness.”
