Jewish Federation’s fifth annual community-wide March Mega food drive was a huge success!
Over 50 schools, synagogues, agencies, and supporters collected over six thousand pounds of food in just one month! The six recipient food pantries and elementary school are thrilled to restock their shelves in order to better service those in need.
Collection site initiatives included: pasta groggers, mishloach manot bags, and bar/bat mitzvah community service projects. It was truly a community wide effort
In culmination with the food drive, on April 3, 45 eighth and ninth graders learned about hunger in our community and helped sort and pack one thousand bags that went directly to the food pantries.
The Jewish Federation thanks you, and the food pantries thank you!
