The Continuing Ed Prog of Temple Emanuel is offering “Women’s Issues Today and How Judaism & the Torah Help Us to Cope! Not for Women Only!” a Symposium led by women Rabbis and Scholars helping us see how Judaism touches our hearts & helps us mobilize in the world of today. Led by Rabbi Loren Monosov, Spiritual Leader of Temple Emanuel, Rabbi Shelley Kniaz, Director of Congregational Ed at Temple Emanuel, Rabbi Leana Moritt, the founder & Rabbinic Director of Thresholds, and Miriam Gray, veteran Jewish Educator. It is based on the book Chapters of the Heart: Jewish Women Sharing the Torah of Our Lives edited by Sue Levi Ewell and Nancy Fuchs Kreimer. The authors write about being daughters, mothers, sisters, partners, lovers, & friends and sharing experiences of parenting, infertility, abortion, and caretaking.
