Current Strategies for Gynecologic Health and Wellness

The Sisterhood of Congregation B’nai Israel in Emerson will present a talk on the topic of Current Strategies for Gynecologic Health and Wellness with guest speaker, Dr. Sharyn Lewin, the Medical Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Holy Name Medical Center.
Dr. Lewin, a recipient of the President’s Award from the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and New York-Presbyterian’s prestigious Physician of the Year Award, is also the founder and Executive Director of The Lewin Fund to Fight Women’s Cancers, which invests in grassroots programs, preventative strategies, and innovative strategies to educate and support women and their families. She is also on the advisory board of “Sharsheret,” a Teaneck-based national nonprofit organization intended to support young Jewish women who have breast cancer or a genetic predisposition to it as well as their families. Dr. Lewin’s personal mission is “to help stamp out hereditary cancers” and she also serves to educate the public on the issues involving cancer survivorship and state-of-the-art treatment for advanced ovarian cancer.
