Author Milton Esterow speaks on Holocaust Remembrance Day

Congregation B’nai Israel in Emerson is welcoming author Milton Esterow to speak at their Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) program on Sunday, May 5th from 10:30am-11:30am. The author of The Art Stealers, Mr. Esterow will share his research and article published in Vanity Fair regarding Nazi-plundered literature during WWII and the attempt to return these publications to their rightful families.  Mr. Esterow has been focusing on the restitution of Holocaust looted art since 1984 when he published “A Legacy of Shame,” which is about stolen art found hidden in a monastery near Vienna.  The special program is open to the public and is free of charge.  Please RSVP to the temple office at 201-265-2272 by Thursday, May 2rd to be sure your name is on our guest list and to accommodate all guests.
