Guidelines and Information

  • Demonstrate exceptional achievement and serve as a role model of creative and innovative teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the total learning environment of their school
  • Select a Professional Development (PD) experience that will enhance his/her teaching and will share the learning with school colleagues
  • Present what s/he has learned with colleagues from other schools in a community forum- i.e. conference, etc.
  • Have a minimum of three years’ experience in the field
  • Teach at least four hours per week in the classroom, with two additional hours in other educational settings, such as youth groups, tutoring, adult education,
    (educators can fulfil this requirement in more than one institution)
