Our 14th annual Mitzvah Day took place on November 6th under a magnificent and glorious sky.  In spite of the unexpected snowstorm of the previous weekend which wreaked havoc in many of our lives, Mitzvah Day went on as planned! Over 1000 volunteers engaged in various activities including visiting the elderly, participating in environmental cleanup, serving food to the homeless, sorting much needed supplies in food pantries, organizing games and activities for children with cancer and other blood related diseases, packing baby clothing to be sent to low income families in Israel, donating blood, and contributing to various drives that took place at 23 institutions in Northern New Jersey, just to mention a few.
