About Jewish Federation's Physicians & Dentists Division:

The Physicians & Dentists Division is comprised of physicians and dentists, who live and or practice in the local community, or who are affiliated with area hospitals and hospitals in nearby New York City. They strengthen the bond among themselves, Israel, and the world-wide Jewish community through leadership, networking, social action and educational and philanthropic activities.

Members participate in programs that address issues of importance to the Jewish community. They can take part in many hands-on local programs.  Through Partnership Together (P2G) physicians and dentists develop professional and personal relationships with their counterparts in Federation's partnership community in Nahariya, Israel and its Western Galilee hospital.

The Physicians & Dentists Division has an annual gathering. This year’s Annual Gala for Physicians & Dentists is being held on Tuesday, May 21 6:30 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El of Closter.  Keynote speaker: Dr. Jonathan Adelman.

Honor Society Membership:  Members of the Maimonides Honor Society strive to build and strengthen community here and abroad through their leadership.  Members make a minimum gift of $1,200, each year, to the Annual Campaign.

Giving Levels are:

2012 Annual Gala

Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey held last year's Annual Gala for Physicians and Dentists on April 17, 2012 which honored the Scherl Family of Physicians: Doctors Newton, Burton, Michael, Sharon, and Jonathan. A record crowd of nearly 300 physicians, dentists, their friends and families, gathered at Temple Emanu-El of Closter. The synagogue’s rabbi, David-Seth Kirshner, made the presentations to the honorees. Evening co-chairs were Drs. Nate Lebowitz, Jonathan Mangot, and Barry Zingler.
