The Medical Task Force Presents:
1-Month Medical Externship
Learn about Israel and its high medical standards
The Medical Externship gives students of medicine and allied health sciences, commensurate with their levels, an opportunity to take part in rounds, participate in the wards, attend lectures and receive informal instruction at the Western Galilee Hospital (WGH).
The 1-month externship is an opportunity to learn about Israel, its high medical standards and its concern for quality medical care. The externship can be tailored to the specific learning objectives of the student.
WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?
EXTERNS CAN BE: medical students who have completed at least one year of study or post graduates of studies in fields relevant to WGH. New to WGH Externships! Physician’s Assistant students during elective rotation year and nursing students during their final year of studies are now also eligible to participate.
For more information about the Medical Externship, please contact Galeet Lipke, GaleetL@jfnnj.org
Partnership2Gether (P2G) formerly Parthnership 2000, was launched in 1994 by the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) linking Jewish communities in the Diaspora with those in Israel. An extraordinary global platform connecting 550 communities around the world in 45 partnerships, P2G is building living bridges among these communities, by sharing ideas, strengths, challenges and models of success. The impact of these projects goes far beyond the community level—each member of the community has the opportunity to become directly and personally involved.
In New Jersey, under the auspices of Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, Partnership 2Gether links the people and communal organizations in northern New Jersey with those in Nahariya, a seaside resort town in the north of Israel. The partnership is about building relationships between the two communities via the exchange of ideas and joint cooperation and participation in different projects.
JFNNJ's Partnership2Gether program is a winner! At the 5th Annual International Partnership Conference on June 23 in Tel Aviv, we received the “Excellence Award” for Teachable Moments, for the unique nature of the program and for its impact on the people of our two communities: NNJ and Nahariya. Yasher Koach - job well done, for everyone involved.
