Oklahoma Tornado - Help the victims TODAY!

On May 20, a monstrous tornado devastated the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore, leaving behind death and widespread, unimaginable destruction. Many are feared dead and/or are missing, with thousands injured, and as a result of the tornado’s wide path, homeless. State and Federal officials are just now trying to assess the extent of the damage and to put in place a plan to help the survivors.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, along with other Federations across the country is partnering through Jewish Federations of North America with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee to provide urgently needed aid and relief on a non-sectarian basis to the victims of this devastating tornado. Jewish Federations are committed to care for victims of global natural disasters, and have emergency relief plans in place to immediately aid those in need. Jewish Federations recently raised more than $1 million to help those affected by the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan, over $30 million to help victims of Hurricane Katrina, and $10 million for those affected by the southern Asia tsunami in 2004.
